The North West Tree Removal Inc. was established in 2001. Its owner Mr. Paul Laliberté began his work in this area by offering his services to cut trees dangerously located on the properties. This one with only a ladder, a chainsaw and ropes launches in this new challenge.
In 2002, Mr. Laliberté bought a Boom truck from a local electric company, enabling him to offer better service and access considerable heights for tree sizing.
In 2003-2004, with no advertising, word of mouth is making its way and it is necessary to hire 2 additional part-time employees.
In 2005-2006, the demand for service was so strong that Mr. Laliberté decided to leave his job for more than 20 years at Gallant Entreprises in order to pursue his entrepreneurial dream. A decisive turning point for the company during this period when his wife Lise Daigle Cameron decided to join Mr. Laliberté’s efforts and began to develop the company in the commercial sector.
In 2007, the company expanded its market by becoming a subcontractor for New Brunswick Power, requiring 6 full-time, seasonal employees. This year is very profitable for the company and confirms a very promising future.
In 2008, the company incorporated and made significant investments in the acquisition of equipment; an excavator equipped with a brush cutter, an 18-wheeler truck and a trailer. These acquisitions are being made to increase our capacity and win new contracts across the province. To date, we rely on at least 12 vehicles as well as several major pieces of equipment.
In 2009, we hire a team of 15 seasonal full-time employees all certified in their own field. Each year, employees receive training and updates on previous training as well as new certifications every 3 years.
In 2010-2011, we acquired a large lot and built a garage to maintain our equipment and install the administrative offices. During this period, we participated in disaster relief operations for NB Power during the winter storm (2010) and Hurricane Irene (2011).
